I haven’t written anything about Linda Evangelista yet on this blog but she was definitely a favourite in the 90s and she was for sure one of the original Supers and part of the Fab Five (Linda, Christy, Naomi, Cindy & Claudia). Linda was a true chameleon and easily one of the best models ever. She kept a pretty low profile for a while but luckily for me, we’ve been seeing a lot more of her lately doing some pretty great editorial work (like this spread for W Magazine in September) and attending a lot of parties (ones I dream of going to) in NY. Here she is with fellow 90s supermodel, the totally awesome Stella Tennant (both in Versace) at the opening of Versace’s new Soho store in October. Both gals were pretty frequent Versace models back in the day so it’s cool to see them still doing their thing – and doing it better than ever. Photo from style.com
And here’s Linda (in Chanel) at the Chanel Fine Jewellery party in NY last month. Everything about this look is perfect – the suit, the shoes, the hair, the bag. It’s very fancy. And is it just me or does Linda kind of look like Carol Alt here?
