As Christmas quickly approaches, it’s time to get on those daunting holiday shopping lists. Because people often ask me for gift suggestions, I decided this year it was time to create a fancy (and mostly affordable) gift guide with suggestions on what to get those stylish friends and family members who appreciate unique pieces they’ll have for years to come. Leather Together With Canadian Designer Kat Marks

Recently I was invited by popular Canadian leather designer Kat Marks to spend an intimate evening (charmingly dubbed “Leather Together”) with a group of bloggers and local influencers to create custom leather luggage tags. During the two hour private workshop, Marks led us through the process of making our own personalized luggage tag, under her careful guidance and watchful eye. She provided detailed step-by-step instructions on how to create our leather souvenirs and customize them so they suited each of our personalities. I embossed mine with “FANCY.” Obviously.

Bella Returns With A Bang With Alberta’s Largest Fashion Show Ever

Last week, over 700 of Calgary’s most fashionable philanthropists and party goers enjoyed one of the most stylish evenings Calgarians have seen in a long time at Bella – Calgary’s premier fashion event. The sold out fundraiser, presented by Holt Renfrew and Calgary Health Trust, impressively helped raise over $500,000 for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Foothills Medical Centre and the funds will help create the only in-born Level III Tertiary Care Unit in southern Alberta.
