Lady Gaga & Joan Collins Win The Met Gala Red Carpet

With the theme of the Met’s 2019 Costume Exhibition being “Camp: Notes on Fashion,” we knew this was going to be a especially fun year for watching the Met Gala arrivals. Camp style is essentially defined as irreverent, tacky, ironic, fabulous, over-the-top and exaggerated style. Stars like Lady Gaga, no stranger to camp fashion, did not disappoint. Her Met Gala entrance is one of the most theatrical ever (next to Rihanna’s many legendary appearances). Oscars Fashion Recap And Billy Porter’s Cher Moment

Oscars 2019
Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, Gemma Chan and Charlize Theron at the 2019 Oscars.

After all the hype and controversy surrounding the Oscars this year, I expected something…well…unexpected. Along with Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lang, Michelle Pfeiffer and Judith Light all stunned and showed their much younger acting counterparts how it’s done. A great dress paired with experience and confidence is hard to beat. Here’s a rundown of some of this year’s most talked about looks.

Year after year, the Golden Globes continue to be one of the best red carpets of the year. Everyone is so nervous at the Oscars, few are willing to take major chances and make brave style statements (except for Cate Blanchett of course). But I feel like stars are more relaxed at the Globes so they’re more comfortable wearing looks that express their personalities as opposed to having to abide by strict fashion rules. This year there were quite a few stellar looks. And during a year when the host (not Jimmy Fallon’s best moment) was less than memorable, we were lucky to have some amazingly good, and a couple of amazingly bad, looks to review. Here it goes… Continue reading “Golden Globes Red Carpet Recap – Sequins, Metalics & Pharrel’s Beanie”
