“Gianni, This Is For you.” Supermodel Icons Reunite for Incredible Tribute to Gianni Versace

Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Donatella, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford & Helena Christensen.

My girls are back! By now most of you have seen the photos. Donatella’s brilliant tribute to her brother Gianni during Milan Fashion Week, 20 years after his death, included a finale the fashion world is still buzzing about. Uniting original 1990s supermodels Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Helena Christensen and Carla Bruni, Donatella created one of the best and most memorable fashion moments in years. I still can’t get over it (when I first saw the photos I squealed – loudly). All five legendary models looked as amazing as ever (if not better) and reminded us there’s a good reason why they will forever be credited for term supermodel Continue reading ““Gianni, This Is For you.” Supermodel Icons Reunite for Incredible Tribute to Gianni Versace”

Stars Step Up Their Style Game at TIFF

TIFF Best Dressed
Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, Rosamund Pike and Julianne Moore in Toronto at TIFF

After more than 40 years, TIFF has proved to be a major force in terms star power – and style statements. Practically everyone shows up. They all seem to love Toronto. As the importance of the festival continues to skyrocket, so do the memorable fashion moments. Although I didn’t get to see many stars in person (except for Drake), here’s a rundown of some of the most talked about looks. Once again, Nicole Kidman remains the one to watch. That Valentino retro multi-patterned dress was killer.  Continue reading “Stars Step Up Their Style Game at TIFF”

Emmys Red Carpet Recap and Jane Fonda’s Ponytail

Emmys 2017 Best Dressed
Nicole Kidman, Zoe Kravitz, Tracee Ellis Ross and Gabrielle Union at the 69th Emmy Awards

Some years are more exciting than others, and this year’s Emmy red carpet definitely impressed with many memorable looks. For example, as if we don’t be talking about Jane Fonda’s ponytail for years. And I loved seeing so many legendary veteran actresses totally slay it on the red carpet looking better than ever. Along with Fonda, Susan Sarandon, Jessica Lang, Michelle Pfeiffer and Judith Light all stunned and showed their much younger acting counterparts how it’s done. A great dress paired with experience and confidence is hard to beat. Here’s a rundown of some of this year’s most talked about looks.

Claudia Schiffer’s Tudor Mansion in Architectural Digest

Claudia

Claudia Schiffer (one of the original supermodels) lives in a castle. Of course she does. And whenever legendary models and interior design collide, I feel it’s my duty as a design and supermodel-loving fan to cover it. After all, when I was younger, my wonderful dad used to buy me Vogue and Architectural Digest (AD) every month. I’ll never forget the day he came home with the AD issue featuring Cindy Crawford in her impressive Madison Avenue pad in 2001. Now Claudia’s centuries old English countryside Tudor mansion is featured in AD’s special fashion-related September issue.  Continue reading “Claudia Schiffer’s Tudor Mansion in Architectural Digest”

Dean Davidson’s Dapper New Men’s Collection

As a life-long jewelry lover (and serious) bracelet fan, I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of the launch of the new men’s collection by Dean Davidson. Trust me – it’s going to be HUGE. A celebrated designer, Dean has been designing women’s jewelry for over 10 years. The idea to do a men’s collection has been in planning stages for some time and as you’ll see, it was well worth the wait. Modern, masculine and well formed – this is a jewelry collection stylish guys are going to love.  Continue reading “Dean Davidson’s Dapper New Men’s Collection”

Cannes Film Festival Fashion Recap – Nicole Kidman Wins. Again and Again.

Cannes Best Dressed 2017
The best of Cannes 2017: Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Tracee Ellis Ross & Kidman again.

Always one of the best red carpets of the year, the Cannes Film Festival is like no other. The French Riviera is all about excess and this is a place where the stars aren’t afraid to play dress up and are willing to look extra luxurious & extravagant. The only rules at Cannes are that subtlety is not allowed and to always think of Joan Collins (in her Dynasty days) and Elizabeth Taylor as inspiration. Next to the Met Gala, this is the most exciting red carpet of the year.  Continue reading “Cannes Film Festival Fashion Recap – Nicole Kidman Wins. Again and Again.”

Met Gala 2017 – Avant-Garde with Comme des Garçons. And Rihanna Wins. Again.

Met Gala 2017
Rihanna, Cara Delevingne, Zoë Kravitz and Jennifer Connelly at the 2017 Met Gala.

It’s the party that costs $30,000 a ticket and even if you an afford a ticket, that doesn’t mean you can necessarily attend. It’s invitation only and there’s a famously long waiting list – just to get on the invite list. Anna Wintour carefully oversees every detail and has to approve everyone who attends – of course she does. So even if a company buys a table, she still has the final say whether your guests can attend or not. Pretentious, right?! God, I want to go some day…  Continue reading “Met Gala 2017 – Avant-Garde with Comme des Garçons. And Rihanna Wins. Again.”

Julia Dunstall Returns to Modeling in New Dean Davidson Campaign

DD Sping campaign
Top Model Julia Dunstall in new spring campaign for Dean Davidson

One of the best parts of working for Dean Davidson (a growing Canadian jewelry company), is the chance to work on many cool projects. And one of my favourites is being involved in shooting the new campaigns. It’s fun – and you feel fancy, in a behind-the-scenes kind of way. As Dean’s brand continues to grow, this season’s new campaign was designed to represent the elevation of his brand and how the line, which began in 2007, is entering a new era.  Continue reading “Julia Dunstall Returns to Modeling in New Dean Davidson Campaign”

2017 Oscars (Whoops) + Red Carpet Recap

oscars-2017
Emma Stone, Janelle Monae , Jessica Biel and Viola Davis at the 2017 Oscars

This year’s Oscars will undoubtedly go down in history as one of the most (if not the most) memorable Oscars in history. Because as you likely know, THEY ANNOUNCED THE WRONG BEST PICTURE WINNER. But this post is about the dresses and red carpet looks. The incredible ones – and the unfortunate ones. Of course my favourite trend on the red capet this year were the earrings. Big ones! And lots of them. As I’ve saying for a while, oversize earrings are going to be huge (no pun intended) in 2017.
