With host Aisling Tomei, stylist Taylor McDonald and photographer Aldona Barutowicz
I once again had the pleasure of being part of the annual Oscar red carpet recap on CTV Morning Live with three talented and beautiful ladies – host Aisling Tomei, stylist Taylor McDonald and photographer and publicist Aldona Barutowicz. As always, we had blast. There are few things I enjoy more than talking about fancy dresses. Check out the full clip here. Looking forward to next time! And check out my full blog post on many of the most talked about Oscars looks this year.
Like many supermodel fans – and gays – I’ve been a huge fan of Cindy Crawford since I was a teenager. When I was in junior high, her photos and many Vogue covers covered my locker and bedroom walls. So I couldn’t have been more excited when Crawford announced releasing her new book Becoming (in anticipation of her upcoming 50th birthday in February), which chronicles her legendary career as one of the original supermodels. Calgary is soon to get a little fancier. Nordstrom, the legendary American department store, is finally making its way across the border and it’s set to open its first Canadian store in Calgary on Friday, September 19th. And many fashion loving Calgarians couldn’t be happier and more excited.
Because it’s the retail giant’s first venture outside the U.S., they’re doing a excellet job of getting out in the community and making themselves a respected part of the city. As part of their efforts to get to know fashion loving Calgarians, they enlisted top blogger and photographer (and my friend) Ania Boniecka and her husband, photographer Tyler Stalman, to shoot 100 people in Calgary for a very cool and unique campaign featuring stylish Calgarians in various parts of the city. I was super flattered and excited when Ania asked me and my mom to take part. I felt so fancy! Continue reading “Nordstrom’s Fancy “Hello, Calgary – We Like Your Style” Campaign”→
